We travelled to Reims recently to catch up with Folarin, find out how he's adjusted to life in France and to reflect on what's been a special campaign to date.

You're doing so well man, so, so well and I know you'll make it here. Keep going. Your top in Ligue one. Your on the same level as Mbappe this year. MBAPPE. Thats how good you've been and how good you are. We'll see you next season when we are prem holders and you'll be welcomed into the first team with open arms.

I think there is no way they let him go before he gets his chance at Arsenal next season. You send a player out on loan so that they can show whether they've got what it takes, and he's done absolutely everything and more that could be asked of him

What we saw with Saliba we are now seeing with Balogun. Giving young talent the chance to grow a little bit away from the spotlight. If he succeeds in League 1, he will only come back stronger and with more hunger and desire to prove himself in the Prem and Champions League. Excited for the future. COYG 💪

Balogun over eddie. I think eddie play 3 to 5 games good than hes ghost. The first time i saw balogun i sayd this boy is class. Hes a natural born striker. I would loove to see him one day play games and score goals 4 arsenal

You can have it all at the same time,is a young squard hope they learn from it and grow, they still have a lot of huddles to over come.ramsdale should learn how to save penalties and martinelli and others should learn how to take penalties just like saka

You cannot have a player that has almost scored 20 goals in a top 5 league and not give him even half a season chance. This is what other teams pay 60m for and we have it for free. He has earned a chance to be in the first team next season.

@S&D Productions literally makes no sense to compare their situations. Laca is an experienced international who has already adapted to the French league as well as being the club captain, of course he was always gonna score goals in France. Balo is 21 and had to adapt to a new league playing senior football at a top league for the first time in his career and has almost 20 goals. People questioned if Saliba was ready to play in the Prem and look at him now. Doesn’t mean he’s gonna start every game but he has to at least be in the squad and given a chance to prove himself.

This kid is driven, articulate and obviously talented. Even if we don't manage to keep him he will be a top striker. It would be nice if he stays for a couple of seasons with us after his loan. BALO!

Balogun's, somewhat, unexpected meteoric rise, makes you appreciate the unknown all youngsters go through when they go out on loan, especially, abroad, and how a career will rise or fall based on if you take your chance or not. Balogun not only took his chance, but he ran with it to a place not even he himself could even dream would happen. Talk about exceeding expectations, and I always thought he had the talent to challenge for a spot at Arsenal, but to be among the top goalscorers in France while playing for Reims, is a fairy tale season so far. I'm just happy to see another Hale End boy making us proud and showing the world what he's all about.

They gave him 40000 week contract so he is obviously rated but first team in PL title challengers is diff level esp as we need to actually push on. We all hoping he can make it but maybe selling with buyback clause would be solution? Or contract extension and loan with fee to bigger club? They can assess him and Eddie in summer as Jesus obviously still star 9

This is so nice to see. Some players go on loan and they’re forgotten about. But this shows how brilliant Balo is and what the level he’s going to be. He’s got a great head on his shoulders too. The problem we have is that will he be in the starting 11 when he comes back? Tough decision for Mikel there.

Everyone can see his great goal scoring ability, but what I feel is more important and what this video has shown, is that Balo has great mentality and seems like awesome person to be around. Im sure he will continue to improve and score more goals, hopefully under Mikel. Balogunner

Balogun you were unbelievably good in the youth team, your talent shone through and you made it look easy. Same again the talent is there it is just about believing you can do it. Our academy has a habit of creating wonderful well rounded young men. Hugely talented and hugely responsible and articulate. Kids have to start trying to get the loan moves to the clubs that are going to actually treat them like they are important because it's clear how much that can help. If you feel comfortable somewhere it makes it a whole lot easier to ball out

It's good to see that Balogun is making a progress in France. However, I'm not sure if he will have his spot at Arsenal in the next season. In his position, there are Jesus, Trossard, and Nketiah. With already 3 players who can play at the top, it is not likely that Balogun will be given much playing time. Although I hope he can be a successful one at Arsenal, if we have to sell him to strengthen the squad and meet financial fair play regulation, selling him is inevitable. But, we definitely need to get at least 40 million pounds for him if we are to sell him. Less than that, tell the other teams to get lost.
